Congratulations to Sammamish and Newport theatre students who were recognized in this year’s 5th Avenue awards.  In order to be selected as nominees and honorable mentions, 5th Avenue Theatre sends evaluators to the school’s production, where they make notes, provide feedback and judge the show in all aspects from costume to choreography to lighting.  This year there were 122 productions from more than 100 schools, making it the biggest year ever.  The students will be recognized and winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on June 12 at Benaroya Hall.
