Interlake sophomore Aum Upadhyay organized a Buzz Bowl – a science and math knowledge game created by Science For Community for middle school students in January.Nearly 100 middle school students participated in the event.

Upadhyay says that he is inspired by programs that encourage students to aim high and have fun with learning. The student-run Science for Community group donated $1,500 raised through the Buzz Bowl to the Bellevue Schools Foundation to support educational programs in Bellevue.

The Bellevue School District acknowledges that we learn, work, live and gather on the Indigenous Land of the Coast Salish peoples, specifically the Duwamish and Snoqualmie Tribes. We thank these caretakers of this land, who have lived and continue to live here, since time immemorial.
