Teachers please hold off on attendance till 8am

 Attention Football Fans! We have an exciting opportunity to host the 7th/8th Grade Flag Football Championship game this afternoon. It would be an awesome demonstration of Tyee pride to see staff and students showing their support during the game. So, let’s show our Tyee pride and pack the stands in support of our 7th/8th Grade Football team’s quest for the title! The game will begin around 2:45. We hope to see you there. Go Thunderbirds!

Thursday (3/16) will be our end of season Tyee Club Jubilee Flag Football party

6th graders will also be taking their team pictures at this time

All players need to turn in their jerseys to participate in the pizza party

Over the weekend , the Robo Thunder, with 7 present and one former Tyee students, competed in the FTC Robotics “West Super-Regional Tournaments” This event brought together the best 73 among the 1,000 teams in 13 Western States. The team was more than competitive in this event, finishing 3rd out of 36 teams in their division, and 7th among the 73 overall. They also won the 3rd place Control Award, for clever use of sensors and software to control their robot.

Their excellent performance also earned them a coveted invitation to the World Championship to be held next month in Houston, Texas.

The team members are Hannah Wang, Anuska Varma, Ashley Mead, Diana Ouyang, Sriya Bulusu, Advitha Sivaganesh, Brianna Platt, and Shreetama Mondal.
