Congratulations, 7th and 8th grade orchestras, for your beautiful performances on Friday at the Western Washington University state orchestra festival on Friday. The 7th grade orchestra performed first thing in the morning and received a gold rating for their performance. The 8th grade orchestra also received a gold rating for their performance and came in 2nd place overall for the day. Both adjudicators commented on what a mature, vibrant sound our orchestra program plays with. You represented Tyee well on the stage Friday.

Are you interested in helping your peers get through their problems? Are you wanting to learn skills to mediate your own problems with others? Peer Mediation is a program at Tyee where you can get training to help facilitate others to talk about their problems or disagreements and get through them. Current Peer Mediators will be putting on some mock mediations during activity time on Thursday the 16th and Tuesday the 21st. If you might be interested in applying to be a Peer Mediator next year, please attend one of these two informational sessions.  Location announced later this week.

If you are interested in putting together an NCAA Bracket for either the Men’s Basketball Tournament, The Women’s Basketball Tournament or both, please make sure those brackets are to Mrs. Johnson in the main office before school on Thursday. Games begin Thursday.  There will be no betting, but lots of fun and bragging rights.
