"Taking Care of Business" (TCOB) Days
Click here for the TCOB Packet
Please take time to review carefully this information. Please pay special attention to the very first document, Taking Care of Business (“TCOB”) Days. This document explains the dates, times, and procedures for paying fees, turning in forms, taking students’ pictures, picking up PE t-shirts and shorts, picking up students’ schedules, and getting locker assignments. You may pay school fees on-line (touchbase.bsd405.org) or bring a check to TCOB. This first page in the packet will also let you know which forms need to be returned and which forms are for information purposes only.
Please note that students’ schedules at TCOB are DRAFT schedules; final schedules will be distributed on the first day of school (starting at 8:00am). Students’ locker number and combination will be included on the DRAFT schedules. Students and parents may tour the school and practice their locker combination during TCOB. Please come during your designated date/time (by grade-level) to make the process smoother for everyone. Parents and students should plan to attend TCOB.
Summer Reading Assignment
Summer reading is an important experience that keeps students learning—and engaged in the wonderful act of reading—even when the school year is over. In addition to the joy of reading, current research points out that increased summer reading helps students maintain skills and avoid learning loss- also known as the “summer slide.” Also, summer reading does more than preserve the skills of the previous school year. By exploring a shared text, students have a common experience with their classmates to jump start the school year in September. Summer reading assignments for all Bellevue School District student can be accessed here.
Summer Math Packets
These packets are intended to help students review the concepts from the previous year in preparation for the next course. These packets are provided here as additional resources for BSD students interested in reviewing during the summer.
