Attention all Tyee 7th and 8th grade students. If you were absent on the day Tyee counselors were doing Naviance lessons in social studies classes, please come to tutorial in the library today to ensure you are registered and up to date. See your counselor either before school or at lunch if you have any questions.

It’s time to sign up for flag football! There is a sign-up sheet and information available at the Jubilee counter. If you have not participated in a Jubilee sport this school year then you must complete a registration online.

Are you interested in writing and looking for an avenue to display your amazing talents? Well now here’s your chance! The Letters About Literature contest is currently underway. The theme is, “How did an author’s work change your view of the world or yourself?” Information and entry forms are available in the library and entries must be postmarked by January 12, 2018. See Mrs. Hecht in the library for more information or talk to your Language Arts teacher.

If that’s not exciting enough, there is also a second contest underway relating to Washington State history! For this contest, participants will create a Zine about some aspect of Washington’s history. A Zine is a self-published magazine, with limited print runs. Entries for this contest must be postmarked by December 15, 2017. See Mrs. Hecht in the library for more information.

Attention all Tyee students, if you’re interested in discussing race and racism, please join us in 2310 for SOAR (students organized against racism) during activity period today.

Students, please do not pick up and throw the snow. Walk slowly as the ground outside and the floor inside may be wet and slippery. We love you, we want you safe. Take care of yourselves, take care of eachother, take care of our place.

The Bellevue School District acknowledges that we learn, work, live and gather on the Indigenous Land of the Coast Salish peoples, specifically the Duwamish and Snoqualmie Tribes. We thank these caretakers of this land, who have lived and continue to live here, since time immemorial.
