BOOM 2017 was a SUCCESS!

Thank you to all the students who showed up and participated in the program at Bellevue College yesterday. If you went and want to continue this work in our building, please follow up with Ms. Grigsby or Ms. Quintana so we can continue these conversations.

Thank you to the staff who volunteered their time yesterday as well. A huge thank you to Sergio Garcia Perez and Brandi Henry for their work on the committee to make this event what it was!

Glee Club

Do you sing, dance, play an instrument, or just love to perform? Have you ever wanted to do almost all of those things all at the same time? If you said yes to at least one of these, you should come join Glee Club on Tuesdays from 3:30-4:30 in room 173! SHS Library Closure

Ewing C. Kelly Scholarship

Applications must be postmarked by March 10

The Kelly Foundation of Washington is offering $2,500 awards for its scholarship program, the Ewing C. Kelly Scholarship. This award is named in honor of Ewing C. Kelly, a longtime radio and television broadcaster. The Ewing C. Kelly Scholarship is designed to reward students who demonstrate good citizenship while striving to attain their academic goals. Applicants will be judged on their academic merit, extracurricular achievements–both scholastically and in their community–and financial need. Yearbooks Order Deadline Approaching

Have you pre-ordered your yearbook yet? Yearbooks are on sale now until Friday December 15th for $50.00.  This is your last opportunity to guarantee that you receive a yearbook. You may purchase online or at the accountant’s window. We will only have a limited number available at the end of the year and they will be first come, first serve by grade with seniors having 1st priority.

Hot Glass Club

The Hot Glass Club’s first meeting will be Wednesday, January 3rd 7:15-8:15 a.m. in the glass studio (room 658). There will be a prerequisite that you are in hot glass currently or have had some glassblowing experience.  If you have any questions, talk to Ms. Misoda.

SHE: An Innovative LEADership Lab

All Lady Totems!! Do you want to know your individual strengths that make you unique from the rest of the world? Do you want to know how to market your best foot forward to the world for college, careers, and more? Sign up for this lab put on by a program called LEAD (Ladies Elite Athletic Development). SHE is an opportunity to invest in yourself and your professional and personal development while building a network of supportive women doing the same.

It will take place at 2 PM, after school, on December 13th, and it is only $19 to attend. 20 girls have already signed up, and there are 20 spots remaining! Come with your friends – there will be fun icebreaker activities and you will leave feeling confident, have a better understanding of yourself, and be ready to take on the world!

Help support the funding of this Sammamish event by purchasing these T-Shirts at the accountant’s office until December 13th!  Short-Sleeves are $8, and Long-Sleeves are $12!
