Communicating with Teachers Using Synergy Mail
Using the ParentVUE desktop or mobile app, families can email teachers, check messages from teachers, and respond, all within the application.
When a teacher sends a message through TeacherVUE, the parent/guardian receive a message in their ParentVUE account and a notification in their email.
The email includes the teacher’s message along with a button you can click to open the message in the ParentVUE application. You will see a prompt for a secure login into ParentVUE/StudentVUE to reply to the message, if necessary.

Assignment View
By default, you may be directed to the Assignment View or you may have to click on the link. If a bar graph is displayed, the teacher is using weighted grading. Green bars represent the current progress your student is making compared to the weighted category at the bottom of each bar. The blue bars represent how each category is weighted towards the final grade.
Assignments are listed at the bottom of the page. Grades for assignments are listed in the “Score” column on the chart.
If “Not for grading” is listed in the “Notes” column for an assignment, that means the assignment is not being counted towards the student’s final score.
Standards View
If available, access Standards View by pressing the link in the top right.
Graded standards will be listed below, and scores will be listed on the right.
To find out what each score means, scroll towards the bottom of the page to the Legend with explanations for each score type.
Clicking a graded standard will display a list of assignments that were scored using that standard.
Standards are organized into Strands. In the “Subject” column, select the “Expand all” link for all assignments associated with standards in that strand to display.
Course Content View
If the Course Content View link displays, then the tile system will display at the top of the screen. Clicking on a tile will filter the course content listed below by subject and/or missing assignments. Multiple tiles can be selected at once for more focused searches. Each tile contains the number of assignments and a score breakdown.
