First Day of School

Tuesday, September 2, 2025 - First day of school for students in grades 1-12 and the Evergreen Transition Program

Bus Routes

Fall bus routes are coming! Enroll today for the district’s new tracking program, Stopfinder, to know when your bus will arrive.  Bus routes will be available the week of August 18. Stopfinder invitations will be sent out as well. Please check your junk/spam folder for a message from no-reply@stopfinder.com. Class Assignments

Draft class assignments and draft student schedules became available in StudentVUE and ParentVUE starting August 15. Please note that these are preliminary and may change due to ongoing enrollment adjustments.

For elementary schools, the teacher name shown is a draft and may change before school starts.
- Final assignments for grades 1–5 will be emailed to families late in the afternoon on Wednesday, August 27.
- Kindergarten notifications may differ based on each school’s WAKIDs meeting plans.
For middle and high schools, schedules may continue to change through the first days of school as class sizes are balanced.

Schools will share more information before the start of the year.

Beginning the week of August 18, families may go to the Free and Reduced Price Meals webpage to complete the 2025-2026 Child Nutrition Eligibility & Education Benefit (CNEEB) application. Complete only one application per household. List all students and all household members, including those that do not have an income. Qualification for school meal benefits is based on household size and income. Families must reapply every year. Once applications are processed, school meal eligibility notifications are emailed to families.

If your student(s) qualified for free or reduced-priced meals last year in the Bellevue School District, their prior year eligibility is extended for the first 30 school days to allow time for a new application to be completed. The final day they may use their prior year eligibility is October 14, 2025. After this date, meals will be charged at the paid meal price if eligibility for free or reduced-price meals has not been reestablished.

Families, including those with students attending schools where meals are available at no cost, are encouraged to complete the CNEEB application to establish eligibility for school meal benefits. This information is used for the summer grocery benefit program, Sun Bucks and with consent to share, the district’s Fee Waiver program and Family Connection Center resources.

Before completing a CNEEB application, families should check their email (including their spam folder) for a message from Nutrition Services. Starting in mid-August, Nutrition Services will begin notifying families if their student(s) have been automatically qualified for meal benefits due to participation in assistance programs such as Basic Food, TANF, FDIPR, ECEAP, McKinney Vento (Homeless), Migrant, Foster, etc. This email will include a link to the 2025-2026 Consent to Share form. The Consent form must be completed annually for your student(s) to gain access to discounts offered through the district’s Fee Waiver program and Family Connection Center resources.

Paying for Meals

Nutrition Services uses PayPAMS for online payments for school meals. Visit the PayPAMS website for more information. Families may also pay for meals by check or cash at their child’s school. Checks should be made payable to Bellevue School District.

Students eligible for reduced-priced school meals may participate at no cost. Due to financial support from the state of Washington, a co-pay will not be collected.

Before and After School Care

Register for childcare through BSD community partners. BSD partners with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Bellevue and Right At School, who offer before and after school care. Please note that offerings from community partners (before care, after care and preschool) vary by school location. Please check their websites to see what is offered at your school.

Payments

Make payments for athletics and activities, pay fines and fees, and make purchases through Touchbase.

Athletics and Activities

Use FinalForms to register your students in grades 9-12 for athletics and activities. Students need to purchase an annual Associated Student Body (ASB) membership, provide an up to date physical, and pay or reconcile fees to participate in either clubs or athletic programs.

Students in grades 6-8: Lists of sports offerings and registration dates for 2025-2026 school year sports and required forms are posted in FinalForms. These sports listings are not open for registration. Registration for each middle school season occurs at the school, during the school day, and is completed by students. Specific instructions will be provided a week before registration opens. In the meantime, families are encouraged to complete required forms before the school year begins in preparation for participation in sports, activities and field trips. Students with an active district email account should also sign their forms now.

Students new to the district will be able to complete their FinalForms after receiving their district computers at the start of school.

Annual Online Student Data Verification

Every year families are required to update student information through the online student data verification process. Beginning in mid-August families can update contact information using their ParentVUE account. Make sure to update your email address and the language you prefer to receive messages. This will ensure you are kept up to date throughout the year about district news and events.

Health Services

Review the district’s Required Health Forms webpage to ensure a healthy start to the school year. If your child has a life-threatening health condition, they must have medication and healthcare orders at the school on the first day or they will be sent home. Please visit the district’s Individual Health Plans webpage to learn more. 

All students enrolled in the Bellevue School District in grades PreK-12 must be up to date on required childhood vaccines or have exemption paperwork on file. In Washington state, all children ages 0 to 18 can receive all routinely recommended vaccine at no cost from a healthcare provider that participates in the Childhood Vaccine Program (CVP). You may be charged an administration fee for delivering the vaccine, but you don’t have to pay if you can’t afford it.

Make an appointment with your child’s medical provider. If your child does not have a medical provider, find a CVP provider near you,or contact Highland Health Center, a school-based health center located at Highland Middle School.

Safety and Security

Update your emergency contacts in Synergy ParentVUE starting in August 2025. More information on emergency contacts and emergency school release can be found on the student reunification process webpage. The BSD Safety and Security Department seeks to establish a culture that provides a safe learning environment through preparedness and awareness.

iLobby - BSD's New Electronic Visitor Management System!

Electronic visitor management is an important part of our multi-layered approach to school security. Screening visitors, ensuring they have a legitimate purpose to enter our buildings, issuing visitor badges, and accounting for all personnel helps create a safe learning and work environment.

The district recently transitioned to iLobby for electronic visitor management. iLobby is a self-check-in, cloud-based kiosk that operates on the secure Apple iOS platform. iLobby provides additional security, language support and customization. Look for this new visitor check-in system at your school!

Communications

Update Your SchoolMessenger Preferences for Important Notifications

BSD uses the SchoolMessenger communication notification system to send districtwide messages and urgent alerts such as school delays and closures. Families may receive SchoolMessenger communication via phone call, text message and email. You do not need to create an account to receive notifications, as you will automatically receive them to the phone number and email address listed in your student’s record (see below for information about online student data verification).

However, if you choose to set up a SchoolMessenger App account, you may adjust how you prefer to be notified. You may also view messages from the last 30 days online website or by setting up the app on your IOS or Android smartphone.

Important: Families should sign up with the same email address used for Online Student Data Verification through Synergy ParentVUE.
