What is SchooLinks?
Washington state has adopted SchooLinks as the universal solution to fulfill the statewide High School and Beyond Plan (HSBP) requirements for students.
The state is providing many SchooLinks features to BSD as part of the statewide implementation, and BSD is adding some functionality to our license including access for sixth grade. BSD is in the process of transitioning from our Naviance platform to SchooLinks following this timeline:
- This fall, all students in grades 6-11 will start learning how to use SchooLinks to begin using the HSBP functionality, as well as the college and career modules.
- BSD 2026 graduates will continue to use our current platform, Naviance, their senior year in order to provide a seamless college application experience. These graduates will have alumni access to SchooLinks starting in June 2026.
- Beginning with the 2026-27 school year, all BSD students in grades 6-12 will use SchoolLinks for their HSBP and college application process.
Will students in grades 6-11 still have access to Naviance?
Students in Grades 6-11 will no longer have access to Naviance, however, each student’s Naviance records will be stored in .pdf format in their SchooLinks account.

What is x2VOL
BSD asks that all students participate in a minimum of 40 hours of community service during their high school years. X2VOL is our online community service hours tracker for grades 9-12.
How do students in grades 9-12 access x2VOL to track community service hours?
