Early Entrance to Kindergarten Application

Parent Information Session Recording

State and Bellevue School District guidelines require that students entering Kindergarten in the fall must be five years of age on or before August 31. However, a student whose birth date falls on or between September 1 and October 31 may enter kindergarten if they meet the early entrance requirements.

The early entrance process involves an objective evaluation of your student’s cognitive, fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, communication, and social/emotional development. To increase the likelihood that your student will be successful in their first year of school, they will be expected to meet standards approximately six months above their chronological age in all areas assessed.

Learn more about Early Entrance to Kindergarten (EEK) by reading Procedure 3110.1P.
