Credit Transferability
Bellevue School District offers students multiple ways to earn college credit through existing courses.
These courses can offer cost savings over typical tuition costs and show academic rigor to colleges and universities.
These options include:
Credit by Exam
Credit by Coursework
The value of dual credit, where students earn college credit through existing high school courses, varies. Most schools in Washington State accept most forms of dual credit earned through Bellevue School District, and several out-of-state schools do as well. That said, it’s always important to do your own research and learn how your school handles different forms of dual credit, including AP and IB exams as well as Career and Technical Education or College in the High School classes.
Some information on the in-state schools most attended by BSD graduates is linked in the table below.
If you want to learn more about a school listed here, or want information about a school not on the list, find the receiving school’s website and search “transfer equivalency” for College in the High School or Running Start or search “Exam credit” for AP or IB classes.
