Information Technology

Bellevue School District offers a comprehensive selection of computer science and information technology courses designed to foster student interest, build technical skills, and prepare students for future academic and career opportunities in the technology field. Courses are available from middle through high school and provide both introductory and advanced learning experiences.

At the middle school level, students are introduced to foundational computer science concepts through engaging and creative coursework. These courses emphasize problem-solving, web development, and programming fundamentals using accessible languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python.

In high school, students can deepen their skills with a robust progression of programming courses, including multi-level Python programming and AP Computer Science offerings. High school students may also explore specialized areas such as game design, mobile app development, and IT fundamentals. For those seeking professional-level experiences, advanced networking and cybersecurity courses are available through the WANIC Skill Center at Newport High School. These programs prepare students for industry certifications such as Cisco’s CCNA, CCNP, and cybersecurity credentials.

With offerings across all secondary schools and multiple entry points for learners at different levels, Bellevue School District’s computer science pathway equips students with the skills and experiences needed to thrive in an increasingly digital world. Financial assistance may be available for qualifying students.
