Career Exploration

Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses provide students with rigorous, hands-on instruction designed to prepare them for success in a wide array of high-wage, high-demand career pathways. These courses not only deliver in-depth knowledge and training specific to various industries, but they also emphasize the development of transferable skills that are applicable across multiple professions. By integrating academic content with real-world applications, CTE programs help students build a strong foundation for both immediate employment and continued education.

In addition, many CTE courses offer students the opportunity to earn Industry Recognized Credentials (IRCs), which serve as valuable evidence of their skills and competencies in specific occupational areas. These credentials can enhance students’ employability and open doors to meaningful job opportunities upon graduation. Furthermore, a number of CTE courses are structured to provide Dual Credit, enabling students to simultaneously earn both high school and college credit. This dual-enrollment approach not only accelerates students’ academic progress but also reduces the time and cost associated with postsecondary education, positioning them for long-term success in both the workforce and higher education.
