Bellevue Discovery Family Partnership
In the 2025-2026 school year, Bellevue School District will open the Bellevue Discovery Family Partnership. This program will offer robust in-person classes, be a community hub for enrolled families, and incorporate the existing Bellevue Digital Discovery elementary school to offer flexible online learning options in addition to campus-based classes. This program supports and complements home-based education undertaken by parents and guardians.
Apply
We invite you to join us as a founding family at the Bellevue Discovery Family Partnership, to co-create the broader offerings of this program over the next 3-5 years. Families and students will work alongside teachers to bring their hopes and dreams for learning options into the world.
Program Overview
How We Got Here
This program was inspired by two parents in the local homeschooling community, who met with Superintendent Aramaki in February of 2023 to express support for a parent partnership program in the Bellevue School District. A committee of parents, teachers, and school district staff worked over the next 18 months to bring this program into reality. During a time of deep budget challenges, an opportunity to partner with the existing Bellevue Digital Discovery elementary school became clear. This connection will offer online opportunities through the partnership and increase community connections for Digital Discovery students and families, as well as leverage existing district resources to offer an exciting and much-desired program to meet the needs of students and families requiring greater educational flexibility.
Where We're Headed
Our enrollment goal to open in 2025-2026 is 100 total students. This number will include students who are fully online, fully in-person, or who choose classes from both menus. You don’t have to decide at the time of enrollment what blend of in-person and online classes to take; you’ll have flexibility and support in choosing a pathway that works for your student and your family.
