6115: Bellevue Schools Foundation

The Board of Directors recognizes that the Bellevue Schools Foundation is a non-profit corporation. The Board supports and encourages the Foundation's efforts to obtain contributions to be used to enhance educational opportunities for students in the Bellevue Schools. The Board deeply appreciates the Foundation's efforts and commitment to students within the District.

Persons making contributions to the Bellevue Schools Foundation should be advised that the foundation is an independent agency, not controlled by the Board of Directors.

Donations to the Bellevue Schools that are consistent with Board policy will be gratefully accepted from any source.

The Board has determined that it is necessary and appropriate for the District to dedicate a limited amount of staff and office support to the Bellevue Schools Foundation efforts described above. The District is authorized to contract with the Bellevue Schools Foundation to provide for up to 1.0 FTE classified employee support and use of miscellaneous office equipment and supplies to support those efforts and to facilitate the receipt and expenditure of gifts, grants, and conveyances from the Bellevue Schools Foundation. The Board determines that this support will promote the education of the District’s students and the effective and efficient operation of the school district.
