4110: Community Advisory Groups, Committees, Councils, and Task Forces

  • 4000: Community
4110: Community Advisory Groups, Committees, Councils, and Task Forces

Adoption Date: Aug. 18, 2022

The Superintendent and/or School Board may appoint a community advisory group, committee, council, or task force as necessary to gather public input and/or establish interaction with the community about selected issues. When community advisory groups are established by the Superintendent and /or School Board, every effort will be made to ensure broad representation of relevant stakeholders, including but not limited to those who reflect the interests of historically underrepresented members of the community.

The community advisory group, committee, council, or task force will study topics and submit their findings and recommendations to the Superintendent and/or Board. Any community advisory group formed by the Board and/or Superintendent will include a description of the charge, responsibilities and reporting relationships and will specify the duration of the advisory group. The title of any community advisory group, committee, council, or task force will clarify whether it was formed under the authority of the Board, Superintendent, or both.
