Preliminary Election Results Show Both Bellevue School District Levies Passing
Initial election results are in; and early results indicate that both of Bellevue School District’s replacement levies are passing.
Proposition 1: Educational Programs and Operations Levy is currently at 64.24% approval (50% required). Proposition 2: Technology and Capital Projects Levy is currently at 62.78% approval (50% required).
Both measures require a simple majority of 50% to pass. Additional ballots will continue to be counted over the coming days, and results will be updated by King County Elections.
Proposition 1 supports day-to-day school operations, including classroom instruction, student services, transportation, nutrition services, and safety resources. Proposition 2 funds school technology, safety improvements, and building maintenance across the district. Combined, the two measures make up 24% of our current operating budget.
“I want to thank our community for taking part in this important civic process,” said Superintendent Kelly Aramaki. “These levies continue current funding for BSD staff, programs and services not provided by the state. We thank our community for their support and commit to continue being good stewards of these funds as we deliver the excellence in public education our community expects.”
