Get Involved in a District Design Team!
Students, family members, community members and staff are encouraged to express their interest in serving on one or more of our Strategic Plan Coalition and Design Teams by completing this application form. We will also need one or two representatives from each Design Team to participate in the Strategic Plan Coalition. Applications will be open through September 26. You will be notified no later than October 4 if you are selected to serve on a team. We will have a kick-off meeting for the Strategic Plan Coalition and all Design Teams on October 24 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Strategic Plan Coalition
The role of this team will be to develop the 5-year strategic plan measures and outcomes by using what we learn from the 2024-2025 Design Teams as they work to implement the Strategic Plan goals and initiatives.
- Deliverables include: Strategic Plan Measures and Outcomes.
- Timeframe: Monthly meetings October 2024 – March 2025, 1.5 – 2 hours each
Sustainability Design Team
This team will monitor and support implementation of the district’s Sustainability Plan and make any necessary modifications for next year.
- Deliverables include: Dashboard of progress and recommendations for 2025-2026.
- Timeframe: Monthly meetings October 2024 – May 2025, 1.5 – 2 hours each and potential workgroup meetings
Inclusion and Accessibility Design Team
The Inclusion and Accessibility Design Team will be dedicated to transforming our Individualized Education Program (IEP) and 504 processes through a human-centered, inclusive design approach. Our mission is to create an equitable and supportive experience for families, students, and staff alike. We will focus on every aspect of the process, from the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) collaboration and initial evaluation to the development and implementation of individualized plans. By evaluating and refining these processes, we aim to ensure that every participant receives the tailored support they need to thrive.

Multilingualism for All Design Team
The Bellevue School District is expanding community-driven language programs. The goal is to enhance student learning and global competency in two or more languages through various programs, including global academies, language immersion, and bilingual education.
- Key deliverables include: Reviewing and improving existing programs and creating a districtwide language program implementation plan.
- Timeframe: Monthly meetings in October, November, January, February, April, and May
