Bellevue School District Seeks Volunteers for Levy Pro and Con Committees

Bellevue School District Seeks Volunteers for Levy Pro and Con Committees

Bellevue School District Seeking Pro and Con Committee Members for February 2026 Election

Volunteer committee members are needed to develop Pro and Con statements for the Bellevue School District’s two proposed levy renewals on the February 10, 2026, ballot. The statements will be published in the local voters’ pamphlet, which is mailed to voters in advance of the election. State law requires that volunteers reside in the District.

The School Board will appoint up to three members to serve on each of the Pro Committees and Con Committees for the two levy renewals. The Pro Committees will write 200-word statements supporting the measures, and the Con Committees will write 200-word statements opposing them. Each committee will also have the opportunity to write a rebuttal to the opposing statement.

The Bellevue School District is placing two measures on the February 10, 2026, ballot:

Proposition 1

The Educational Programs and Operations (EP&O) Levy, which bridges the gap between state funding and the cost of essential day-to-day school operations, including special education services, safety resources, transportation, and nutrition services.

Proposition 2

The Technology and Capital Projects Levy, which funds districtwide safety and security improvements, technology for students and classrooms, and repairs and maintenance of school facilities.
