October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) and Disability History and Awareness Month. The Evergreen Transition Program brings NDEAM's mission to life by preparing young adults with disabilities for employment and life beyond school

The Bellevue School District is proud of the 39 educators who recently completed or maintained their National Board Certification this past year. Washington regularly ranks among the top five states in the nation with the most new National Board Certified Teachers (NBCTs).

The BOOM (Breaking Out Of the Margins) Experience, Bellevue School District’s annual event for students in grades 8-12, was held on Thursday, April 3, 2025. This one-day event offered students the opportunity to connect, build community, and find encouragement through engaging workshops and speakers.

As a Creator of her Future World, Rediet Giday’s story is one of resilience, creativity, and community. As a student at Newport High School in the Bellevue School District, Rediet's journey from Ethiopia to the U.S. has been marked by challenges and triumphs. One such victory is being recently named the recipient of the 2025 Robert Toney Williams' Scholarship for Black Excellence in the Arts, Journalism, and Communication.
