October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) and Disability History and Awareness Month. The Evergreen Transition Program brings NDEAM's mission to life by preparing young adults with disabilities for employment and life beyond school

The Bellevue School District is proud to be recognized as the #1 School District in Washington for 2026 by Niche. The district earned this ranking by scoring highly in many factors that aim to capture what it’s like to be a part of our learning community.

The Bellevue School District is proud of the 39 educators who recently completed or maintained their National Board Certification this past year. Washington regularly ranks among the top five states in the nation with the most new National Board Certified Teachers (NBCTs).

The BOOM (Breaking Out Of the Margins) Experience, Bellevue School District’s annual event for students in grades 8-12, was held on Thursday, April 3, 2025. This one-day event offered students the opportunity to connect, build community, and find encouragement through engaging workshops and speakers.

As a Creator of her Future World, Rediet Giday’s story is one of resilience, creativity, and community. As a student at Newport High School in the Bellevue School District, Rediet's journey from Ethiopia to the U.S. has been marked by challenges and triumphs. One such victory is being recently named the recipient of the 2025 Robert Toney Williams' Scholarship for Black Excellence in the Arts, Journalism, and Communication.

BSD has created a podcast so our school community can learn more about the people, programs and services that make up the Bellevue School District. Connected to the 2024-29 Strategic Plan, the Voices of Bellevue School District: Belong, Learn, Lead podcast series aims to foster a sense of belonging, connecting people to the rich cultures in Bellevue and the lived experiences of our staff, students and families.
