Our Schools
We serve most of the city of Bellevue, WA and the smaller surrounding communities of Clyde Hill, Medina, Hunts Point, Yarrow Point and Beaux Arts. We also serve portions of Issaquah, Kirkland, Newcastle, Redmond and unincorporated King County.
Our schools include: 16 elementary schools, 1 Spanish Immersion elementary school, 1 Mandarin dual language elementary school, 5 comprehensive middle schools, 4 comprehensive high schools and 3 choice schools.
Which school do I go to?
In Bellevue, students in kindergarten through fifth grade attend elementary school. Students in grades six through eight attend middle school. Students in grades 9-12 attend high school. Students are assigned to schools based on where they live.
Our Students
We have an incredibly diverse district. 103 languages are spoken in the Bellevue School District, with 42.5% of students speaking a first language other than English.

Our Staff
We have a staff of about 2,700 employees, including almost 1,500 teachers. Over 400 Bellevue teachers are National Board-certified. More than 79% of our teachers hold a master’s degree.
The district is led by the Superintendent. Five community members make up the Bellevue School District’s Board of Directors, one from each of the five geographical districts. The board members are elected to their posts by registered voters for terms of four years.
