Are you interested in writing and looking for an avenue to display your amazing talents? Well now here’s your chance! The Letters About Literature contest is currently underway. The theme is, “How did an author’s work change your view of the world or yourself?” Information and entry forms are available in the library and entries must be postmarked by January 12, 2018. See Mrs. Hecht in the library for more information or talk to your Language Arts teacher.

If that’s not exciting enough, there is also a second contest underway relating to Washington State history! For this contest, participants will create a Zine about some aspect of Washington’s history. A Zine is a self-published magazine, with limited print runs. Entries for this contest must be postmarked by December 15, 2017. See Mrs. Hecht in the library for more information.

The holiday season is here! Become a vendor at the Tyee Holiday Bazaar Friday night December 1st from 5-8 pm. It only costs $10 to reserve a space and you get to keep ALL the profits from your sales. Pick up an application at the PTSA wall in the commons.

Attention students. This is a very important announcement. Reminder that we will not have school this Thursday and Friday this week. We also want to give you a friendly reminder that tutorial will still be held on Monday and Tuesday. If your classroom has a guest teacher, they will still be holding tutorial and you will be able to attend the tutorial until 3:15pm.
