College Bound Scholarship: The College Bound Scholarship program is an early commitment of state financial aid to eligible students who sign up in middle school and fulfill the scholarship pledge. Free/Reduced Lunch: Your child(ren) may qualify for free or reduced priced meals as well as other benefits including a waiver for some school fees. Qualification is based on household income. The application is available online in both English and Spanish, as well as available to download in other languages. McKinney-Vento: The McKinney-Vento Act is federal legislation, in effect since 1987, that ensures the rights and protections of children and youth experiencing homelessness. The purpose of the McKinney-Vento Act is to ensure that homeless children and youth are enrolled in and succeed in school. The McKinney-Vento Act defines “homeless children and youth” as individuals who lack a fixed, regular and adequate nighttime residence. Wraparound Services: Wraparound is a coordinated planning process that leads to an individualized care plan and development of a child and family team.  It is for youth and families who have tried everything in the past, and have still not met with success. (To be eligible families must be receiving support from two or more of the following services: child welfare, developmental disabilities, juvenile justice, mental health, special education programs, substance abuse).
