Principal’s Message:

We had an all school assembly earlier this week in honor of Veteran’s Day.  The assembly included a musical tribute to our veteran’s with performances by our Band, Choir, and Orchestra.  The assembly also featured Tillicum’s own, Mr. Hay, a former US Marine, as our guest speaker.  Mr. Hay helped students reflect on the meaning of Veteran’s Day and the sacrifices made by our veterans.  Special congratulations go out to all of our performers, student speakers, and to our Music Department for this wonderful tribute!

Best Regards,

James Peterson

Attendance Reminders

We are fast approaching the holiday season and school breaks, and want to remind families regarding attendance policies and procedures.

Early release (pick up student before the end of the day for an appointment or family event):

Contact Liza Manio, Attendance Specialist, in the morning (via e-mail, student note, or phone call), noting the time that the student is to be released – maniol@bsd405.org or 425-456-6708.   The student will be waiting in the Attendance Office for the parent to sign out.

Pre-arranged absence (student will be out for vacation, family trip, sports tournament, etc):

One week prior to the absence, student will bring a parent note and obtain the blue pre-arranged absence form from the Attendance Office.   Student will have all teachers sign it.  Form will be returned to the Attendance Office and the school administrator will make the final determination on whether or not the absence is excused.

Please refer to the Student Handbook for more detailed information regarding Attendance Policies:  http://www.bsd405.org/tillicum/resources/student-handbook-2016-2017/
