District Administration magazine has named Bellevue School District a District of Distinction for its Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Initiative in its July 2017 issue.
“It’s a ripple effect, if you help one student it positively impacts others as well,” International School Principal Jen Rose said about supporting the mental health of students.
The Bellevue School District’s Instructional Material Committee approved the adoption of MindUP as the Bellevue School District’s middle school social emotional learning curriculum on April 20, 2017. Pending School Board approval at the May 2, 2017 board meeting, the implementation of the curriculum will begin in the 2017-18 school year.

Woodridge students helped teach their parents about the Mood Meter and families worked together to create a Family Charter at the school’s second annual Social Emotional Learning Night in February.
