Enrollment is typically done at your school. However, schools are closed during the summer and most registrars will not be available until mid-August. Between July 5 – August 4 you may enroll your student at the district office.

Full-Day Kindergarten

Beginning in Fall 2016, full-day Kindergarten will be funded fully by the State of Washington. There will be no tuition cost for families. We offer full‐day Kindergarten program in every elementary school. Kindergartners attend school on the same schedule as those in grades 1-5.

Your child(ren) may qualify for free or reduced priced meals as well as other benefits including a waiver for some school fees. Qualification is based on household income.

English Language Learners

Students who speak a second language in the home or who have been served in an ESL/ELL program in another school are required to complete a language survey.

Students who transfer from a public school within Washington State:

The registrar will have ESL/ELL status verified by district ESL/ELL Department.

Students who transfer from outside of Washington State:

Registrar will arrange testing with the district ESL/ELL Department.

Student Insurance

Parents have the option of purchasing Accident and Health Insurance for their children. Several plans are available. There is also additional insurance available for student athletes. Informational brochures and application forms are available at your school.The Bellevue School District provides this information to families for their convenience. Purchase of the insurance is not required.
