First meeting of Debate club – Tuesday, January 9th, 3:30-4:30 in the library’s “Totem Teaching Area” (south side of the library). We will discuss how to run the club and share information about debate events. Help us get Debate started at Sammamish!
Families can still sign up for Breaktime-Mealtime Boxes even if you didn’t sign up in the beginning of the year and receive food boxes for Mid-Winter and Spring Breaks.

On Tuesday the 9th, the Class of 2019 will be hosting a fundraiser at the Crossroads Chipotle (1328 156th Avenue NE) from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. When you go, please say you’re supporting Sammamish HS, then 50% of the funds made from your meal will go to the Junior class!
Apple slices with caramel dip and a New Year’s surprise will be sold today, Wednesday, after 4th period at the student store for $2.
What to Do with Old Electronics?
The Performing Arts Boosters is holding a fundraiser. Bring in old electronics working or not (laptop size and smaller) including ink cartridges to the Main Office or the Band Room.
Ewing C. Kelly Scholarship
Applications must be postmarked by March 10
The Kelly Foundation of Washington is offering $2,500 awards for its scholarship program, the Ewing C. Kelly Scholarship. This award is named in honor of Ewing C. Kelly, a longtime radio and television broadcaster. The Ewing C. Kelly Scholarship is designed to reward students who demonstrate good citizenship while striving to attain their academic goals. Applicants will be judged on their academic merit, extracurricular achievements–both scholastically and in their community–and financial need.
