Gingerbread House Contest
Environmental Warriors is holding our annual gingerbread house contest on Tuesday, December 12, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Groups will be working to make gingerbread houses, and the three groups that are the best will win prizes. All materials will be provided.
SHE: An Innovative LEADership Lab
All Lady Totems!! Do you want to know your individual strengths that make you unique from the rest of the world? Do you want to know how to market your best foot forward to the world for college, careers, and more? Sign up for this lab put on by a program called LEAD (Ladies Elite Athletic Development). SHE is an opportunity to invest in yourself and your professional and personal development while building a network of supportive women doing the same.
It will take place at 2 PM, after school, on December 13th, and it is only $19 to attend. 20 girls have already signed up, and there are 20 spots remaining! Come with your friends – there will be fun icebreaker activities and you will leave feeling confident, have a better understanding of yourself, and be ready to take on the world!

College Application Workshop
SENIORS: There is a College Application Workshop tomorrow, Friday, December 8th in the library, from 8:30 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. To attend all or part of the workshop, you must first complete a pre-arranged absence form with signatures from all teachers whose classes you will miss. This form can be picked up from Ms. Quintana in the Counseling Center. It must be returned to Ms. Quintana no later than end of day on Thursday, December 7th. You cannot turn it in on Friday December 8th to attend.
The counselors, College Corps volunteers, and Ms. Scott will be in there to help with college applications, essays, financial aid applications and whatever else you need assistance with.
Please note: Two representatives from Bellevue College will also be there to assist with completing the Bellevue College Application and to answer any questions you may have – please take advantage of this resource if BC is one of your post-high school options.

This month the Transportation You presentation will focus on Water Quality & Transporting Resources. We will be building a water filter and testing various filtering functions of the materials we use. Come learn how water is treated, transported and used. Join us today, Thursday, December 7th in Room 144 for both lunches and let WTS treat you to a free lunch! Any questions please ask Ms. Herzog.
