Thank you for your support and care for the SHS community this week.

The incidents reported last Monday, October 23rd, raised concerns and fears about how we keep Sammamish High School safe. We have been corresponding with our concerned community members and several have asked for an opportunity to ask questions and talk as a community about school safety.

We will be hosting a community forum on Monday, October 30th, beginning 7:30AM, in the SHS Library, for interested parents and students to discuss the measures we employ and have taken to keep SHS as safe as it can be. As additional resources Doug James, the Bellevue School District’s Director of Security, and Nick Jacobson, the Bellevue School District’s Emergency Management Program Coordinator, will be joining us; as well as, Sergeant Spingler of the Bellevue Police Department, who supervises the School Resource Officer program.

We hope you can join us.
