Math Adoption and Implementation

Next steps in the process of developing a math curriculum with the newly adopted Holt textbooks are outlined in the Implementation section of this website.

At a meeting on March 11, the Math Adoption Committee reached consensus to recommend the Holt Mathematics series for use in Algebra 1, Geometry and Algebra 2. The Curriculum Department heard a report of the adoption process on March 19, and recommended that the material be approved. On March 29, the Instructional Materials Committee voted unanimously to recommend adoption of the materials. The School Board approved adoption of the texts at its meeting on April 13, 2010, for implementation of Algebra 1 and Geometry in Fall 2010.

The mathematics materials adoption process is congruent with the BSD Mission Statement and the Adoption Process Core Values.
