Measurement of Student Progress (MSP) 4/30 - 5/24

2013 MSP Testing For Phantom Lake Elementary

As you know, the Washington State Testing for our 3-5 graders is upon us. All of our students, 3-5 will be assessed with the MSP on Reading and Math. Our 4th graders will also be assessed in Writing and our 5th grade students in Science.  The MSP window for Phantom Lake will be April 30 - May 30

The MSP will be given ONLINE for our 4-5 grade students in Reading, Math and Science (5th only).  Teachers have worked with their classrooms to teach their students how to operate the tools within the computer testing program to help them be successful when the actual test is given.

An important way that you can help your child be successful on the MSP is by supporting your child in getting plenty of rest, a healthy breakfast, and a protein packed snack to bring to school on testing days.

Welcome to Phantom Lake Elementary School!

Phantom Lake is one of 16 elementary schools in the Bellevue School District. Our school currently serves approximately 475 students in preschool through fifth grade. Phantom Lake is a targeted Title 1/LAP School. We have a variety of programs to serve the needs of our diverse K-5 student population. These programs include a Title 1/LAP JumpStart morning program for children in grades 3-5 to support struggling students in need of academic intervention support for math or reading; reading support for children struggling in reading in all grades K-5; English Language Learner support for intermediate and advanced level second language learners; and a Special Education program for children with special learning needs.  Phantom Lake is also proud to include PALS, an Integrated Preschool program, for both typically developing children and children aged three through five who have special learning needs.  We also have a Head Start Preschool program available to qualifying children.  Additionally, Phantom Lake is host to a number of community-based programs and services that enrich the learning environment for our students. These include: the Boys and Girls Club after-school program, Youth Eastside Services connections, SeniorNet computer classes for senior citizens, and Granpals/VIBES classroom volunteers.

The Phantom Lake staff is committed to working as a team to provide the highest quality education for our students. We value working collaboratively with our students’ families and believe that the school-home connection plays an important role in the success of our students and our program at Phantom Lake. Our mission is to provide a top of the line preparatory education for all students that will prepare them for college, a career and life.

Thank you for sharing your children with us. Feel free to call the school with your thoughts, questions, ideas, and comments at any time: (425) 456-5600.
