Parents are Key to Student Success

We're pleased to be able to partner with Bellevue parents to support students' school success.  Research tells us, "When parents and school staff work together to support learning, students:

  • earn higher grades and test scores
  • enroll in higher level programs
  • are promoted and earn credits
  • adapt well to school and attend regularly
  • have better social skills and behavior
  • graduate and go on to higher education."

Our hope is that this part of the Bellevue School District website will provide you with the resources you need to support your child's learning.   We want you to be able to access district resources; get information from experts on parenting, children's health and safety, and child development; learn how to help your children plan for college; and successfully navigate through the school system.  If you can't locate what you need, let us know through the feedback function in the left pane of this page.

BSD Prepares for Flu:
PandemicFlu.jpg Several times a week, the national media makes reference to avian flu and the potential for a pandemic.  Those of us in the Bellevue School District realize we have an important responsibility to communicate timely and helpful information to our community and to work closely with both the King County Health Department and the City of Bellevue to prepare for the possibility of the flu striking our community.  As we have already learned, our response will depend very heavily on the expertise of the Health Department and we are thankful for the guidance and assistance they have already offered us.

We have posted information on our website to serve as a resource for students, parents and staff.  The site will be updated as new information is released.  Please note that a feedback form has been placed in the left hand column for you to send us input or ask questions.
