2012 College Conference Nights

View the 2012 College Conference Program

“Future by Design” is an opportunity for high school students and their families to learn more about what is involved in pursuing a college education as well as the resources available to them.   The conference will feature more than a dozen presentations.  Hear from college counselors about starting your school search and how to find “the right fit”.  Talk with financial advisors and university insiders about how financial aid works and how to qualify.  Get tips and strategies for writing your college essay.  Learn about what colleges are looking for and how they review your application.  There will also be sessions designed for first-generation college goers and students with learning differences.

“We hope that students and families walk away with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions for their future,” says Judy Buckmaster, Executive Director of Student Services.   “The District’s College Conference is part of our overall goal of providing an exemplary college preparatory education.”
