(Die Deutsche Ehrenverbindung): The purpose of this organization is to recognize high school scholastic achievement in the study of German and to promote interest in the study of the German language, literature, culture and civilization; and to promote and sustain international friendship. Membership is open to students in grades 11 through 12 who meet the rigorous standards set forth in the International School's Washington Upsilon Chapter.
