Interlake High School Construction Project

About The Project

The Interlake High School project consisted of site preparation, parking improvements and the remodeling of the technology and horticulture buildings as well as the centered special education facility.  86,000 SF of the existing school was demolished and replaced with a two story modernized facility, connected by interior corridors  to the gymnasium, a new 377 seat performing arts center and technology building, all surrounding a new central exterior plaza.

The school has interactive white boards (Smart Boards) and LCD projectors in every instructional space.  The school is both hard wired for data and has full wireless capability as well.  The wireless access enables the use of mobile laptop computer labs to be used in every instructional space.

The technology center will house the District Information Technology Center, a program offered in conjunction with Microsoft which can provide students with the opportunity to take certification tests in various Microsoft certified programs.  Interlake also hosts the District's Construction Trades program as well.

The project began in the spring of 2003 and was substantially complete in August, 2005.
