How do I obtain a Metro pass?

Go to your school office. Any student living more than one radial mile from school is eligible for a pass.

What happens if I lose my Metro Pass?

Under most circumstances; a lost pass will not be replaced. However, if you believe there are extenuating circumstances, an appeal may be made to the attendance office. Students who lose their passes may purchase a replacement pass.

Where do I catch the bus?

Board at any posted Metro bus stop on your route. See each individual school (linked to the left) which gives more specific information and other links to Metro.

What bus do I take?

You may ride whatever Metro bus route which runs closest to your home and at the time most convenient for you.  Each school has a booklet showing what routes and times apply to their school.  However, Metro operates many more routes and trips in Bellevue than in that booklet.  You may also call Metro Transit any hour of the day at 1-800-542-7876 for information.  Metro changes its routes and schedules three times a year.  February, June and September.  You are welcome to ride any Metro route whenever you like.

How much do I pay?

With your Metro pass, you may ride any Metro bus within King County at any time merely  by showing your pass to the driver.  There is no charge for transferring.

Is a transit bus different from a school bus?

Yes and no.  Never cross in front of a transit bus when leaving, as you would a school bus.  Wait until the bus has left the stop, and you have a clear view of traffic before crossing the street.  Like school busses there are rules of the road, not just for student riders but for all passengers: no eating, drinking, littering, or smoking.  Please offer the priority seats located in front of the bus to disabled or elderly riders.
