Clarification of: “SOUTHEND SNOW SCHEDULE”
(Please note keyword Southend)
There has been some confusion over the directions written about the “Southend Snow Schedule” sent home with the Emergency Communications Bulletin.
As you know most of the south end of the BellevueSchool District is highly elevated. Consequently, there are times during the winter when school buses cannot get into these areas due to snow or ice. In these cases BSD wants to advise parents that Transportation is limited in the area.
When “Southend Snow Schedule” is announced over the radio or TV via the Emergency Communications systems it means:
There will be no regular school bus stops in several areas. They are listed as follows:
Stops on SE 48th Drive between 152nd and 157th AV SE
Stops up 151st AV SE south of SE 48th Drive to the Hilltop Area
Stops on 153rd AV at the backside of the Summit area
Stops on SE 63rd ST to the Summit
Stops off of SE 60th ST, 142nd AV SE, and the 147th AV SE loop off of Forest Drive
However, students may go to any other regular bus stop as listed
in the regular school bus schedule to catch a bus.
When “Limited Bus Service” is announced over the radio or TV – then only those stops listed in the Emergency Communication Bulletin will be used.
