The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is the nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding middle school students. More than just an honor roll, NJHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character, and Citizenship. In order for students to be selected for NJHS, they must have a cumulative GPA of 3.75 and complete 10 hours of individual community service. Once inducted, members attend monthly meetings, continue to perform individual community service and participate in a group community service project. Applications for next year’s NJHS will be available in December.
