Spanish Dual Language Program

Dual Language Education is also known as Two Way Immersion. Students from two language backgrounds learn together while instruction is systematically delivered in two languages. Students enrolled are from English and Spanish speaking backgrounds.

Students read, write, listen and speak in both languages, becoming bilingual, bi-literate and bicultural. The Bellevue School District firmly believes that language is a valuable resource and a skill needed to contribute and compete globally in our developing world. Dual Language Programs offer the chance for students to add a language while at the optimal age for language learning.

Students will develop both Spanish and English. Students should plan to enroll for the full six years of elementary Dual Language instruction to receive the total benefits of the program.
