Cherry Crest Elementary School Construction Project

About the Project

Cherry Crest Elementary School will be constructed at the current Cherry Crest Elementary site following the demolition of the original school structure anticipated for July 2011.

The new school will feature ~1000 SF classrooms, the district standard for space utilization along with a gym/multi-purpose room that will allow PE and other activities such as lunch and assemblies to take place simultaneously.

Classrooms and multi-purpose spaces will have projectors, interactive whiteboards (SMART Boards) and integrated sound reinforcement systems.  Full building wireless network access will enable the use of mobile laptop labs rather than a dedicated computer lab.

Timetable: The design phase has begun and will continue until spring of 2011. Construction activities will commence in July of 2011 and complete by August 2012 in time for the beginning of the 2012-2013 school year.
