General Information

  • Bellevue District curriculum will be taught with district textbooks and resources.
  • Classes meet 5 hours a day for 3 weeks providing enough time to learn in depth the concepts and skills of the course.
  • The program is designed to re-teach curriculum so that students can improve their proficiency and earn credit or improve their credit.
  • Each three week session is the equivalent of a semesters worth of work.
  • Students with disabilities are welcome to register and will be provided necessary general education accommodations consistent with their Section 504 Plans or IEPs.
  • District grades and attendance procedures will be followed. More than 10 hours of missed classes will result in loss of credit.
  • Classes must have sufficient enrollment to run, otherwise they will be cancelled.
  • Free breakfast and lunch will be provided at Lake Hills Elementary.

OSPI regulations required that all grades for attempted course are included on the official transcript in the case of repeated courses. The higher of the grades will be used for calculations of GPA. The lower grade will not have an impact on GPA.

ELL Sophomore English Composition & Literature

July 9 - July 27

ELL Composition and Literature emphasizes independent writing through the use of process-writing activities. Students learn to manipulate language and apply complex grammatical structures. Readings include novels, poetry and non-fiction materials in conjunction with oral activities.

ELL Freshman English

July 30 - August 17
7:30am - 12:45pm
FREE

Students will learn and use the 6 Traits Writing Process. By the end of the course, students will write a paragraph in English using conventions and complete sentences.

Registration Procedure

  • Registration forms are available from counselors.

  • Complete registration form with ELL teacher.

  • Registration forms must include ELL teachers and parent signatures.

This program is available ONLY to current Bellevue School District students.

General Information

  • The program will be based on an online rigorous curriculum supported by Bellevue School District teachers.
  • Teachers will be available to meet with students 5 hours a day for 3 weeks providing support for those who need assistance.
  • The program is designed for students to retrieve credit or improve their grades.
  • Students can only register for one class per session. Each three week session is the equivalent of a semester worth of work.
  • All class work must be finished by the last day of the session.
  • Students with disabilities are welcome to register and will be provided necessary general education accommodations consistent with their Section 504 Plans or IEPs.
  • Students must attend a mandatory orientation for the class they signed up for, on the first day of the session they have registered for otherwise they will be unable to earn credit. Specific times will be assigned and notified my postal mail.
  • Classes must have sufficient enrollment to run, otherwise they will be cancelled.

Free tuition: $135.00

Courses must have minimum enrollment to be offered

 

Registration Procedures

  1. Summer Session Registration forms are available at all Bellevue School District High Schools from the school counselors.

  2. Registration forms must include principal, counselor and parent signatures.

  3. Payment must accompany registration.

  4. Classes will be filled on a first come first served basis. Once a class is full the student will be placed on a wait list.

  5. Completed registration materials should be returned to your home school counselor, or sent to:
