Curriculum Department

The Bellevue School District’s mission is to provide all students with an exemplary college preparatory education so they can succeed in college, career and life.

Our goals:

  • All students will reach or exceed academic proficiency
  • Eliminate the achievement gap
  • All students, including those who already meet or exceed academic proficiency, will show measurable progress

We use common curriculum district wide. This means that no matter which Bellevue school your child attends, students are taught the same learning objectives using the same curriculum at roughly the same pace.

Course Catalogs

The 2015-16 course catalogs are available.

Parent Internet Viewer (PIV)

The Parent Internet Viewer (PIV) provides parents and students access to attendance, grade and assignment information in a real-time atmosphere and access to the BSD Curriculum Web.

Please note that the PIV only provides unofficial progress information. Official end-of-term grades are mailed home. Please refer to the mailed report cards for official grades.

Advanced Level Courses

All Bellevue students are encouraged to seriously consider enrollment in one or more advance level courses before graduation. Bellevue offers students a choice of Advanced Placement (AP) or International Baccalaureate (IB at IHS) courses during 10th, 11th and 12th grade. AP and IB courses are college-level courses offered in high school. Advance level courses include regular homework and involve extensive reading. Students in AP & IB courses earn college credit if they perform well on rigorous national AP & IB tests.
