BSD featured in KIRO TV production, "The Learning Curve" - October, 2005

"Can our children get a good public education . . .one that prepares them for college and the future?" That's the question KIRO TV host Mona Locke poses and searches for answers during the hour long KIRO TV special about the state of education in Washington.

Two of Bellevue's highly ranked high schools, Newport and Interlake are featured in the 13 minute segment exploring school systems that seem to have it right.  "The Bellevue School District is receiving national attention for being one of the best in America.  Are they really that good? And what are they doing that's so special?" Superintendent Dr. Mike Riley is interviewed on the reasons for success in Bellevue.
