Bellevue School District's Early Childhood Education program offers a variety of quality services to the families and children of this region.
Preschool programs flourish throughout our elementary schools. Three and four year olds are guided through interactive and intentionally focused instruction helping them to become confident and independent learners. The literacy curriculum is constructed to flow directly into the kindergarten curriculum for the Bellevue School District allowing for an ease of transition to the elementary school. Instructors are Early Childhood Specialists that have experience with the young learner.
Childcare programs provide safe, caring and healthy environments for children in local elementary schools. These programs maintain staffing ratios to accommodate children from 6 weeks old through 5th grade. Care is provided by trained, experienced childcare providers to a broad range of children with diverse needs. Hours of operation are intentionally set to support working families. Our sites are licensed by the Department of Social and Health Services.
Head Start classrooms and services are offered at various elementary schools throughout our district to families that meet the Federal guidelines for qualification. These programs are comprehensive in their services ranging from partial day to full day classes and childcare for children.
