Full-Day Kindergarten Program- In addition to the traditional half-day kindergarten program, Bellevue also offers a Full-Day Kindergarten (FDK) program in every elementary school. The full-day program extends and enriches the core curriculum by allowing children time to explore the same subjects introduced in the half-day program in more depth.
Tuition is charged for participation in Full-Day Kindergarten. Financial aid is available to families residing in the Bellevue School District. Full-Day Kindergarten will be in operation on all regular school days during regular school hours. For more info, contact your local school or 456-4013.
Spanish Immersion Program - A K-12 program in which English-speaking students study most of their school subjects in Spanish. Available at Puesta del Sol Elementary, Tillicum Middle School and Newport High School.
Gifted Education - Qualified students can benefit from ENRICHMENT CENTERS at select elementary schools for grades 2-5, and a Self-Contained (all-day) PRISM Program for grades 2-5 at Spiritridge and grades 6-8 at Odle. The Gifted High School Program is for grades 9-12 at Interlake High School.

Special Education -Through comprehensive child find efforts, the Bellevue School District seeks out all resident children (and non-residents attending private school within the Bellevue School District) with potentially disabling conditions. The district Special Education program currently serves more than 1700 students. A full continuum of special education services is available to resident students ages three to twenty-one years.
