Paul Mills was elected to the Bellevue School Board in November 2001.

Mr. Mills’ advocacy for children in schools began at least fifteen years ago when his children began attending Newport Heights Elementary School.  During the time before his service to the Bellevue School Board, Mr. Mills served for five years on the Board of the Lake Heights Family YMCA, chaired the Finance Committee at his church, and participated on a special committee of the Bellevue Parks Board to help design the new South Bellevue Community Center.

Mr. Mills has worked as a Banking Center Manager at Bank of America for eighteen years.  He takes pleasure in volunteering in the communities his bank serves.  As a Bank Manager he has served on the Chamber of Commerce in each community and also as a Board Member of his Rotary Club.

Mr. Mills and his wife, Rita have owned their home in Newport Hills for twenty-three years.  Two of their children have gone through the Bellevue School District’s school system, and Mrs. Mills serves as a substitute teacher in the Bellevue schools.

“The part I like most about serving on the Bellevue School Board is the chance it provides to serve kids and teachers in a forward looking, visionary school district where every student is given an education that will prepare them to succeed in college.”
