December's Volunteer Trainings

Do you still need to complete the Clyde Hill Volunteer Training process?  Opportunities in December are Tuesday, December 1st at 5:30 p.m. and Thursday, December 3rd at 8:15 a.m.

 
Meet Ms. LaFever - Clyde Hill's ELL Facilitator

My name is Elizabeth LaFever and I am the English Language Learner Facilitator at Clyde Hill Elementary this year. My job is to work with our Intermediate and Advanced level English Language Learners and their teachers to ensure that our ELLs are successful in the classroom and in their language acquisition. I collaborate with teachers to identify specific needs of individual ELL students and then we work to establish the best tools to help students meet the grade-level and classroom expectations. I also work individually with some of our students in the classroom to help support them in the content areas where they need it the most. I am excited to be at Clyde Hill this year and feel fortunate to be working at a school with such a dedicated staff and supportive parent community. Should you have questions regarding Clyde Hill’s ELL services or program, please don’t hesitate to contact me at lafevere@bsd405.org.
