At the November 21, 2017 meeting, the Bellevue School Board adopted three resolutions to add three levy ballot measures to the February 13, 2018 election.

Resolution 17-16: Replacement for Educational Programs and Operations Levy

A RESOLUTION of the Board of Directors of Bellevue School District No. 405, King County, Washington, providing for the submission to the qualified electors of the District at a special election to be held therein on February 13, 2018, of the proposition of whether excess taxes should be levied in the amount of $68,000,000 in 2018 for collection in 2019, in the amount of $74,000,000 in 2019 for collection in 2020, in the amount of $79,000,000 in 2020 for collection in 2021 and in the amount of $83,000,000 in 2021 for collection in 2022, said excess taxes to pay part of the cost of eligible activities in support of students in the District.

Resolution 17-17: Replacement for Technology and Capital Projects Levy

A RESOLUTION of the Board of Directors of Bellevue School District No. 405, King County, Washington, providing for the submission to the qualified electors of the district at a special election to be held therein on February 13, 2018 of a proposition to authorize the district to levy an additional tax of $37,000,000 for collection in 2019, $40,000,000 for collection in 2020, $42,000,000 for collection in 2021 and $44,000,000 for collection in 2022 for the District’s Capital Projects Fund for developing, acquiring and installing computer technology, related technology infrastructure, providing initial training in the application and implementation of said technology and administrative expenses, necessary equipment purchases and facility improvements, such levies to be made for four years commencing in 2018 for collection in the school years from 2018-2019 through 2022-2023.

Resolution 17-18: School Bus Levy

A RESOLUTION of the Board of Directors of Bellevue School District No. 405, King County, Washington, providing for the submission to the qualified electors of the district at a special election to be held therein on February 13, 2018, of a proposition to authorize the district to levy an additional tax for one year to provide a total of $8,000,000 for the District’s Transportation Vehicle Fund for the purchase of school buses.

The Bellevue School District acknowledges that we learn, work, live and gather on the Indigenous Land of the Coast Salish peoples, specifically the Duwamish and Snoqualmie Tribes. We thank these caretakers of this land, who have lived and continue to live here, since time immemorial.
