Congratulations to Bellevue School District staff member Heather Yancey for completing the Alternative Routes to Teacher Certification program at City University, which she learned about because of a partnership between City University and BSD. This summer Yancey achieved her childhood goal of becoming a teacher, and was recognized by City University of Seattle for participating in the program and successfully transitioning from a district support employee to a certified special education teacher in just one year.
